"Why should you choose me as your counsellor?" Life experiences and personal counselling experience has provided me with a sound grounding to offer a professional, genuine, non judgmental and empathetic therapeutic support in a safe place.
Qualifying with a certificate and a degree in Integrative Counselling means I am qualified to practice. I am also a member of the BACP (British Association for counselling and Psychotherapy).
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward into your own sense of being for a better life.
Entering counselling is not easy, it means looking at the difficult parts of yourself. If you can make the promise to yourself, that you will engage in the process then please email me using the contact form link here, or at the bottom of my website so we can discuss and tailor your personal therapy sessions for your individual needs.
Has the layering of life challenges contributed to you feeling anxious, stressed, lonely or depressed? Are the lasting effects of trauma an unwelcome visitor in your life?
Have you lost a sense of you, meaning or purpose, uncertain as to what the future means for you?
Are you struggling with relationships of any kind?
Have you lost a loved one and struggling to manage your grief?
Is shift work, disability or a busy life schedule affecting your life, prevented you from having access to therapy?
Does communicating with the world from behind technology feel less intimidating than meeting face to face for therapy?
Are you looking for non judgmental support to assist you in self awareness so you can make change happen for a better way of being?
If any of the above relates to you then you have found the counselling services for you, tailored for your needs.
You have taken the first step towards change by recognising you are not content with your current way of being. Are you now ready to take the second step by giving yourself the opportunity to explore what it is that you need to change for that better way of being? If so please contact me to discuss how we can work together?
I am a professionally qualified counsellor having, trained with the Iron Mill College in Exeter, qualifying with Worcester University with a Counselling Certificate, and Degree in Integrative Counselling. As with all professional counsellors who work ethically I attend regular supervision. I am a Registered Member of the BACP and am fully insured.
Having previously served 17 years as a police officer I have been exposed to many of life challenges, managing the effects of repeated exposure to trauma. I am also a listening volunteer for a well know charity for people in crisis. I have experienced the therapeutic benefits of creativity achieving level 2 C&G in sugar-craft. What my experiences have provided for me are the core skills essential for counselling which academic qualifications alone cannot provide.
